AHABA Benefit Concert - Mountain View, CA

Benefit Concert featuring Jampa Jazz band with vocalist Lori Panissosian, Treasurer of AHABA, her husband Jordan Brisk, and two other musicians. Proceeds from this concert were used to purchase continuous glucose monitors for children of Camp Yeraz in Armenia.

An afternoon of jazz by saxophonist Martin Ulikhanyan followed by a presentation and sale of Nairian Cosmetics, premium, natural cosmetics entirely produced in Armenia by local Bay Area entrepreneurs. 10% of the proceedings will be donated to AHABA.

Fundraiser for Karagheuzian Fund to Aid Armenians in Syria - Mountain View, CA

To date, AHABA has provided support for Armenians in Syria through organizations like AGBU and the Karagheusian Fund. A beneficiary of our gala in February 2015, the Karagheusian Fund was also the recipient of AHABA support on November 20, 2015 at an event featuring Irina Lazarian, managing director of the Karagheusian Fund who spoke on the work of the Fund in Syria. Music was provided by Armenian pianist/composer, Tatev Amiryan. The benefit raised $6,500 for the Karagheuzian Fund to help Armenians in Syria.

100 YEARS: Survival and Rebirth – “Reflections On The Armenian Psyche One Hundred Years Later: Have We Learned Anything?”. This event featured guest speaker and honoree,  world renowned psychiatrist Dr. Hagop Akiskal.

AHABA Inaugural Banquet - Oakland, CA

On April 5, 2014, AHABA had its Inaugural Banquet, honoring Dr. Krikor Soghikian. Dr. Armen Der Kiureghian, current President of the American University of Armenia (AUA), was the keynote speaker, presenting Dr. Soghikian as a prominent member of the Bay Area Armenian community, one of the founders of the public health department of AUA in Yerevan. He was also, together with Dr. Carolann Najarian, the initiator of primary care in Armenia. We had over 120 guests at the event, and $18,000 was raised.
